Apple TV+ has released the trailer for Slow Horses Season 5.
Slow Horses is based on the Slough House spy novels by Mick Herron. In the television series, Gary Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the grumpy leader of the Slough House, where lowly spies who’ve made career-ending mistakes wind up. Viewed as outcasts, Slough House still manages to find itself at the center of every major espionage case.

What happens in the Slow Horses Season 5 trailer?
Slough House is put on lockdown in Season 5. After 11 people are found dead, Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) believes resident tech nerd Roddy Ho might have been compromised by his new girlfriend. When more strange events keep happening, Slough House is left to pick up the pieces and uncover the sinister forces trying to bring down the country.
“We’ve killed and plundered and blackmailed, and now it’s being done to us,” Jackson says in the trailer.
Slow Horses Season 5 ensemble includes Oldman, Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, and Jonathan Pryce.
Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed joins Season 5 as a special guest star.
Slow Horses is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films. Executive producer Will Smith adapted the show for television. Smith recently announced his exit from the series after Season 5.
Executive producers include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, and Graham Yost.
Slow Horses has become a critical hit for Apple TV+. The show has received over a dozen Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and acting nods for Oldman, Lowden, and Pryce. Smith won Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series at the 2024 Emmys.
Slow Horses has already been renewed for a sixth and seventh season.
Slow Horses Season 5 will consist of six episodes on Apple TV+. The first episode premieres September 24, 2025, followed by one episode weekly until October 29, 2025.
