4 Sep – Anna Jobling recently revealed that she will be postponing her trip to Indonesia following the recent riots that sparked across multiple big cities including Jakarta.
The actress, who was scheduled to appear at the premiere of the Indonesian movie, “Sukma”, which she also co-stars in alongside Christine Hakim and Luna Maya, said that even the premiere has been delayed to a new date.
“I do agree that such an event is not appropriate to be held in this situation. So, we agreed to postpone it,” she said.
Anna also expressed her sympathy over what is happening in Indonesia, and prayed for the people’s well-being.
“Jakarta is like my second home. I would travel there every month. It saddens me to see the current situation. I hope Indonesia will heal soon. My prayers are with them,” she said.
At the same time, Anna is proud to see Malaysians showing concern for the fate of their fellow neighbours.
“I am moved to see so many people sharing their sympathy and extending assistance to the people of Indonesia. Although we sometimes have differences of opinions, at a critical time like this, it’s clear that we have mutual support for each other,” she said.
