The star remains in a tie with Beyonce for the most VMA wins (30 each). If the chances work in her favor, Swift might break the record of most VMA wins since 1984.
Part of the reason for her absence? Big life changes. The singer just got engaged to Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs for the NFL. The couple announced the happy news on Instagram last month. This took both their fandoms by a happy surprise. Swift is likely busy with the wedding planning, and enjoying the engagement before Kelce’s NFL season kicks off.
