Foreigner has thrown its hat in the ring to become Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding band.
The legendary rock band made its “formal offer” in “an open letter” to the couple on Instagram Wednesday, Sept. 3.
“Dear Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, We know what love is. We spent 40 years figuring it out… and now you guys have, too,” the post read. “Please accept this as our formal offer to be your wedding band. Best wishes, Foreigner.”
The music megastar and Super Bowl champ announced their engagement together in a post that went up on both of their Instagram pages on Aug. 26.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the post reads, with a dynamite emoji at the end.
The social media post featured photos of Kelce getting down on one knee and proposing to Swift in a picturesque garden filled with flowers. There’s also a close-up photo of the huge engagement ring on Swift’s left hand.
Just 15 minutes after the post went live, the post had already generated over 1.7 million likes on Instagram.
Swift and Kelce have taken social media (and media in general) by storm since they got together in the summer of 2023.
Meanwhile Foreigner is gearing up for its upcoming tour, which will reunite the band with its original lead singer, Lou Gramm.
The tour is set in honor of Foreigner’s new album “Foreigner 4 Deluxe,” which will be released in September, according to a July 2 statement from the band.
The “Foreigner 4 Deluxe” is slated to start in December. Meanwhile the band has several shows scheduled before then, including a performance at The Big E on Sept. 21.
