White Pines Harmoniemusik, a new chamber ensemble dedicated to the musical tradition of 18th- and 19th-century harmoniemusik, will make its debut performance at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Staples Family Concert Hall at Central Michigan University.
Harmoniemusik, a chamber music tradition that flourished in European courts and salons, features small wind ensembles performing sophisticated arrangements and original compositions.
White Pines Harmoniemusik fills a unique niche in mid-Michigan’s classical music landscape, bringing together performers from the Midland Symphony, Saginaw Bay Symphony and Flint Symphony.
The ensemble brings together accomplished professional musicians with mid-Michigan connections under the direction of Music Director Christopher Chapman.
