ST. LOUIS – The Gospel Music Hall of Fame Induction Weekend has arrived, taking over downtown St. Louis at America’s Center.
The three-day celebration paid tribute to more than 100 legends who helped define the sound of Gospel music. Event organizers say the Hall of Fame weekend is a movement of unity, healing, and cultural pride.
Crowds enjoyed an all-day expo Saturday and a powerful “evening of song” concert, featuring American Idol winner Jamal Roberts.
The Clark Sisters, and entertainer Rickey Smiley and Vickie Winans were among this year’s honorees inducted into the Hall of Fame.
FOX 2’s Kelley Hoskins served as mistress of ceremonies, leading the celebration all weekend long.
