2 Chainz has announced that he’s releasing a “spiritual memoir” next year.
The rapper’s new book, The Voice in your head is God, comes out on March 3, 2026. On Instagram, he released a video explaining the inspiration behind the book. “I want to welcome everyone to my newest journey as an author,” he said. “The name of my first book is The Voice in your head is God. It is my most personal and introspective work to date.
“I talk about how the voice in my head I hear every day, all day, led me to the point where I’m right now and that’s in front of you guys,” 2 Chainz continued. “It is motivational, it’s powerful, and it’s raw. I know you’re going to love it.”
In the caption for the announcement video, 2 Chainz continued explaining the spiritual aspect of his memoir.
“That voice in your head isn’t madness, it’s guidance. It’s GOD!! Every time you hear that quiet whisper, know it’s a higher power speaking through you. 2 years ago, I listened to that voice and began writing. Today, I’m finally ready to share my very first book with you,” he wrote.
A press release obtained by Complex provides further details about 2 Chainz’s spiritual memoir. According to it, the book will cover “the spiritual journey behind his success, offering a raw, reflective, and deeply motivational meditation on the inner voice that’s guided him his whole life: God.”
In a statement provided by 2 Chainz, the rapper said that it’s “my best close and most personal work.”
“I want to share the spiritual journey behind my success in a raw, uncut, and motivational way,” he continued, before adding that his “mission” is “to help anyone with a dream and a vision [who] struggles, or doubts their intuition…I wouldn’t be here now without that voice.”
The Voice in your head is God is being released through Charlamagne Tha God’s company, Black Privilege Publishing. The radio host released a statement in support of the book.
“2 Chainz’s story is a story of perseverance,” said Charlamagne. “A story of reinvention. This book will remind you that when GOD tells you to do something, it must be done, even if you have to reinvent yourself a few times to do it.”
