The lead vocalist of Imagine Dragons recently went on a hike while shirtless, and fans are impressed by his physique. In the images shared by Just Jared, he went shirtless, wearing brown shorts and black and white shoes. He held in his hand what appeared to be a cap with his white AirPods in his ears. Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the latest images of Reynolds. They reacted to his well-maintained body, calling it “phenomenal” and “hot.”
In a past interview with GQ, Reynolds revealed why he’s so focused on fitness, noting that it doesn’t just have to do with the physique but something much more important. He said he wanted to develop the strength to battle the autoimmune disease he got in his early 20s. He was diagnosed with the hereditary disease ulcerative colitis.
Reynolds was frustrated, given that despite trying his best to improve his health, things didn’t turn out in his favor. He further revealed that he got married and had a kid, and shortly after, he also developed another autoimmune disease called ankylosing spondylitis, which his brothers had.
Explaining his reasons for why he began focusing more on lifestyle and fitness, he added, “It’s a spinal autoimmune disease where your body attacks the joints, because it perceives them as a disease. If you don’t address it, your bones can fuse, and you can die. I was prescribed biologics, Humira, which is an autoimmune suppressant, but then I was out on the road touring, and one of the side effects of that is you get sick, and it’s really hard to get better. I’d get sinus infections, and then you can’t sing. I was at this juxtaposition of, like, this will fix my back, but it will ruin my career. Something had to give, and that’s when I really started to dig into health and diet, and revamp everything.” He further revealed that he started his fitness journey “out of necessity.”
