The 59th annual CMA Awards are around the corner, and the Country Music Association has once again named Kentucky artist Chris Stapleton as one of the nominees.
The nominations, which were announced Sept. 8, recognize the artists, songwriters, musicians, producers, engineers, directors, and industry professionals whose work has defined the past year, while setting the stage for CMA Awards Week this November in Nashville, Tennessee.
Stapleton received nominations in three categories including Male Vocalists of the Year, Entertainer of the Year and Video of the Year for “It Takes A Woman.”
This year marks the country music superstar’s 11th nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year. Stapleton has won the category eight times, including most recently in 2024.

The 2025 CMA Awards nomination for Entertainer of the Year is Stapleton’s ninth. Although he has yet to win the category, 2025 could be the year.
In the Music Video of the Year category, “It Takes A Women,” Stapleton’s heartfelt tribute to his wife and creative partner Morgane Stapleton, was nominated. The video was directed by Running Bear.
With the 2025 nominations, Stapleton becomes the reigning Male Vocalist, Single and Song of the Year winner, and now has 42 career CMA nominations.
At last year’s 58th Annual CMA Awards, Stapleton topped the list of winners with three wins, including Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year. The wins moved Stapleton into a tie with Brooks & Dunn for the most wins in CMA Awards history.
