Prince Harry is in the UK and he is all smiles, which makes us think two things — that he’s happy to be home and he’s looking forward to seeing his father, King Charles, with one royal expert saying the meeting has been confirmed, even if it’s not been made public.
The royals plan well in advance, so if Harry and Charles are going to meet this week, the Duke would’ve known before he got on the plane, according to Pauline Maclaran, co-author of Royal Fever and Professor of Marketing and Consumer Research at Royal Holloway.
When speaking exclusively to Daily Express US, Maclaran shared her thoughts on the matter.
Maclaran said: “I think any meeting will have been planned by now and the graveside visit is unlikely to alter what has already been decided,” referring to Harry going to pay his respects to the late Queen, his grandmother.
“We have to wait to see what that has been – lots of buzz about whether they will meet or not but nothing as far as I can see for definite yet either way!”
Harry arrived to the UK just yesterday, and he has been quite busy, first going to pay his respects to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and then presenting at the WellChild Awards, in which he has been a patron since 2007, and today, he headed to Nottingham where he pledged a $1.5 million donation to Children in Need.
He will be in the UK for four days, and he is currently at the halfway point of his trip, which leaves sometime today, or tomorrow, or Thursday, to meet with Charles.
The thing is, if Harry and Charles do meet, and there’s no mention of it, that is a success story, because that’s what the Royal Family has been asking of the Duke, to keep private matters private.

We have a feeling there may be some mention, but maybe just something slight, keeping in mind the words of Queen Elizabeth II: “You have to be seen to be believed.”
It makes us think of the not-so-secret meeting between Prince Harry’s reps and King Charles’ rep over the summer, which was done in public, because it was meant to be seen.
It was the first step in the royal reconciliation and in some cases the Royal Family does want to share what’s going on with the public, that is part of their role as they are in fact public servants, just very fancy ones.
