JACKSON, MI – Michigan residents are experiencing an early taste of fall, and it’s almost time to get cozy in a flannel, enjoy a beer and try some chili samples in downtown Jackson.
K105.3 is hosting its 5th annual Fall Fest & Chili Classic from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 in downtown Jackson. The event will be filled with music, activities and plenty of chili to try, according to the event’s Facebook page.
The event is free to attend but tasting wristbands for the chili cost $5. People will be able to sample from dozens of participants and then vote on their favorite.
Chili tastings begin at 2 p.m. and end at 4 p.m., or when the chili runs out. Chili awards begin right after, followed by live entertainment on two stages.
A Kids’ Kingdom will feature games, crafts and activities. Visitors can also browse various vendors, as well as shop at downtown stores and boutiques.
Jackson’s downtown social district will also allow patrons to grab drinks from some downtown bars and restaurants. Participating businesses can be found on the Jackson DDA’s website.
