Following a triumphant six-date tour of sold-out North American stadiums, System of a Down will play seven more dates in Europe next summer, beginning June 29 in Stockholm. Queens of the Stone Age and Acid Bath will support through a July 18 finale in Warsaw.
The Serj Tankian-led group is planning an additional special show as part of the tour, but will announce further details at a later date. Click here for ticket onsale information.

The influential rock act had only assembled 10 times since 2019 before returning to the stage this year with a spring stadium run in South America. They also haven’t released a new album since 2005’s Mesmerize and Hypnotize.
“It’s the biggest compliment in the world when you get multi-generational love for your music,” Tankian tells SPIN of how younger audiences have been flocking to the recent System shows. “We are really, really feeling very lucky that we get to do this. For a band that hasn’t been technically very active for 20 years to garner this type of following is mind-blowing for us. We want to do it carefully in a way that we don’t overexpose ourselves. It’s special when it’s not like Groundhog Day where you play every year, make a record, do a full, two-year album cycle and then come back and do it all over again.”
In related news, Tankian’s new solo album, Covers, Collaborations & Collages, is rolling out with a new track one week at a time until its full release on Oct. 24 from Serjical Strike Records/Create Music Group. The latest single is a cover of “Lady in Red” balladeer Chris de Burgh’s song “I’m Counting on You.”
