Producers for the 77th annual Emmy Awards have been editing the special “In Memoriam” segment to be featured on Sunday’s CBS ceremony. We have assembled a list of over 100 people who might be recognized during the broadcast.
Two members of the Academy’s TV Hall of Fame are among those who died in the past year: producer-director Don Mischer and journalist-host Bill Moyers. Several previous Emmy winners and nominees who could be honored include actor John Amos, actress Loni Anderson, composer Alan Bergman, actress Ruth Buzzi, actor Richard Chamberlain, composer Alf Clausen, sportscaster Greg Gumbel, actress Polly Holliday, composer-producer Quincy Jones, actress Linda Lavin, director-producer-writer David Lynch, actress Valerie Mahaffey, actress Jean Marsh, actress Joan Plowright, actor Alan Rachins, composer Lalo Schifrin, actress Maggie Smith, actress Loretta Swit, actor Malcolm Jamal-Warner, and actor George Wendt.
