First Half

  • Through the opening 15 minutes of the match the two sides traded four shots with DC attempts by Ava Prisco and Maddie St. Amand missing the mark, while chances from Morgan Griffin and Faith Sullivan tasked keeper Pico Gray with making one stop.
  • Two minutes later the home team found the scoresheet as Molly Martys solved Gray for a 1-0 lead.
  • Isabelle Bariso had the next chance for the Devils in the 25th-minute, but her offering sailed high over the goal.
  • Gray was then back under pressure making saves during minutes 28 and 38, before Lena Madjor poked a shot into the net pushing it out to 2-0.
  • Dickinson would try to take advantage of a late corner kick as the ball found the head of Norah Heacock, unfortunately, Makenzie Van Arsdale was up to the task ending the half.

  • After that save the Royals got out on the counter attack and ultimately made it 3-0 thanks to Peyton DiLello at the 73:36 mark.
  • Van Arsdale shutdown Prisco in the 79th, before finally being beaten by Bariso with 79:35 gone (3-1).
  • Lauren Ervin and Heacock would add shots late in the match, but none of them bothered Van Arsdale as the match came to an end.
