Selena Gomez spoke about her wedding in two interviews this week.
The star touched on her wedding planning and jokingly revealed who her ring bearer will be.
TMZ reported last week that Gomez and Benny Blanco will be getting married in late September.
Selena Gomez is reportedly getting married to Benny Blanco in late September, and ahead of the ceremony, the actress has shared a little more information about the celebration in multiple interviews this week as she promoted the latest season of Only Murders in the Building.
On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Gomez was asked if she was having fun planning the event. “It’s wonderful,” she said. “I’m very lucky. It’s going well. I’m so excited.” She added that her Only Murders co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin are “of course” invited. “Marty’s the ring bearer,” she joked.
“We are all so excited because we love this lady,” Short added. “And we love her fiancé.”
Earlier this week, Allure ran a cover story on Gomez, who revealed in the story that she has been using Pinterest to help with planning. “I have all my folders of inspiration for the wedding, for cooking, for style,” she explained.
But she played coy when it came to discussing how far along in the process they are, saying she and Blanco are “not sure what route we’re going to take.”
Still, Gomez is grateful for their timing as a couple, telling the outlet that had they dated five or 10 years ago, they likely wouldn’t have gotten to this point. “I don’t think I would have been remotely mature enough,” she said. “It’s weird to think that only five years ago I wouldn’t have been in the right place, but I’ve learned so many lessons [since then] that led me to being the best partner I could be for Benny. And I believe the same with him.”
She added, “He’ll say, ‘Gosh, why did we waste so much time?’ And I always say, ‘You wouldn’t have liked me back then.’ I was all over the place.”
Gomez also revealed they are about to move into a new home in Beverly Hills.
Blanco and Gomez are will celebrate their wedding in southern California, too. Sources told TMZ last week that they will wed in Montecito at a secret venue to which guests will be shuttled at the end of September. Paris Hilton revealed at the MTV VMAs that she will be among the attendees.
