Seven weeks after his passing, the will of former WWE star Hulk Hogan has been unveiled, revealing that he excluded his daughter Brooke.
The ex-wrestler and media personality, born Terry Gene Bollea, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71, leaving behind his wife, Sky Daily, and two children, Brooke and Nick, from his previous marriage to Linda Claridge.
Hogan’s estate, valued at nearly $5 million, named Nick as the sole beneficiary. His wife was also mentioned in the will, but Brooke was removed per her request in 2023. Brooke expressed concerns about potential disputes following her father’s death and chose not to be involved. In a ‘Bubba the Love Sponge’ podcast interview, she revealed that she had asked Hogan’s assistant to ensure she was not included in his will. “I was sobbing. I just said, take me off everything, I don’t want to be a part of it,” she shared. “I thought if I get left any money or Nick gets left any money then, no offense, my mom has been known to find herself in the mix with things like that.”
“And I’m like, I don’t want to fight Linda, I don’t want to fight scientology… It scared me. And I just said, I want out.”
Court documents filed by Nick reveal that Hogan left behind $200,000 in cryptocurrency and $799,000 in personal and intellectual property. He also bequeathed his right to publicity, estimated to be worth around $4 million, and an unspecified value for a potential medical malpractice lawsuit.
Nick was heartbroken following his father’s death and regarded Hogan as his champion. In a heartfelt tribute posted on Instagram soon after Hogan’s passing, Nick expressed: “My dad was the most incredible person I’ve ever known and will always be my hero.
“He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for. I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world. He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend.
“He always has been my best friend, and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain. I thanked him for everything he has ever done for me and told him how much I loved him and hugged him every chance I got.”
Hogan’s death resulted in both positive and negative narratives circulating online, as occurs with most celebrity passings. Nevertheless, Nick expressed appreciation for all the tributes and memories fans contributed.
“Hearing so many kind words and stories about my dad’s life, interactions, and experiences with everyone has been incredible and comforting,” he continued. “Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and comforted me over the last few days. It truly means a lot.”
