Jason Aldean pays heartbreaking tribute to his pal Charlie Kirk – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Country star Jason Aldean has paid tribute to his friend Charlie Kirk after he was assassinated.

In a heartbreaking post on Instagram shorltly after Kirk was killed he described him as “one of the kindest, smartest and bravest people I’ve ever met” and he sends his thoughts to his family, adding it has been a “hard day” for his family and “all over the country.”

The 48-year-old star from Georgia also said Kirk was “a man of peace and wanted nothing but the best for our country and its youth” and “what he has done will live on for ever”. His comments come after he recently told that he had a “breakdown” over a shooting during one of his performances.

The artist also shared a snap showing him with the conservative political activist and his wife, Brittany.

Among those who liked the post was Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak and she also coomented, “Amen.”

Brittany also paid tribute to Kirk in a separate post, saying he was “one of the most intelligent people we’ve ever met” and fought “for everything right in this world.”

She added, “This is a heartbreak so many of us will never get over. Charlie was a father, husband, son, friend and so much more.

“He put everything on the line to be a voice for those who weren’t able. I admired him. His courage, his intelligence, his faith…. there will truly never be another like him.

“Charlie you will for ever be missed. Trying to find peace in the fact that he’s in heaven shining down on us all, because man he loved Jesus and there’s no doubt that’s what he’s doing Accepted into the arms of Jesus as a good and faithful servant.”

Tyler Robinson, 22, who is suspected of shooting Kirk at Utah State University was arrested in the state late on Thursday night after his his father contacted authorities.

Earlier this month Aldean said he was left traumatized in the months after the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas while he was on stage.

60 people were killed and more than 800 injured at the gig on October 1, 2017, when gunfire erupted in the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.

Aldean told the Armchair Expert podcast, “‘It was a festival like we’ve done a million times.

“It was just obviously something that we weren’t prepared for.”

In the days immediately after the attack, the musician reunited with family, appeared on Saturday Night Live to honor victims, and then flew back to Las Vegas to visit survivors in the hospital.

Aldean explained, “We finally got out of there the next afternoon, home and you’re just glad to be home, show up my mom’s crying.”

Looking back at his trip to visit victims, he said, “That was tough. People hadn’t recovered from their wounds yet.”
