Jelly Roll has been killing his weight loss journey, but it might cost him more than a few pounds.
“I can fit in Louis Vuitton now. Pray for my bank account,” Jelly Roll, 40, captioned a photo of himself in Vatican City on Monday, September 15. “A hundred thousand thank-yous to the legend Skateboard P, his team, and everyone else that had a hand in making last night happen.”
The country singer was in the tiny country for the history “Grace of the World” concert Saturday night.
The history, free show was directed by Pharrell Williams (Skateboard P) and Andrea Bocelli. In addition to Jelly Roll, John Legend and Jennifer Hudson also took the stage.
He had the opportunity to meet Pope Leo XIV prior to performing “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”
“From rock bottom to holy ground,” he captioned a photo meeting His Holiness. “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
The “Need a Favor” artist is currently touring Europe for the first time with pal Post Malone.
Jelly — real name Jason DeFord — has been open about his weight loss journey, which began in 2023. In the years since, he has dropped more than 200 pounds, weighing in at under 300 pounds for the first time in his adult life.
“I got fat, like, really, really young,” he said on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast. “I was over 300 pounds coming out of middle school. I’m gonna be under 300 pounds for the first time since middle school the night I walk to that ring at SummerSlam.”
