Jenna Elfman says the wheels are turning faster in Season 2. Speaking at ABC’s recent showcase, the actor described “Shifting Gears” as “well-written” and “genuinely funny,” adding that returning to multi-cam comedy with Tim Allen and Kat Dennings “feels good.” Elfman, who recurred in Season 1 as Eve, a dance instructor who trades barbs and sparks with Allen’s Matt across the street from his auto restoration shop, confirmed she’s back when the show returns. The new season premieres Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 8/7c on ABC.
The series, from showrunner Michelle Nader, follows a widowed mechanic whose estranged daughter and her kids move in, forcing a family reset inside and outside the garage.
