The Beatles’ seminal 1965 album “Rubber Soul” will take center stage Nov. 6 to 8 at the inaugural Everything Fab Four Fest at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park.

Max Weinberg and Jake Clemons of the E Street Band will appear, as well as Bob Santelli, founding executive director of the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music; singer-songwriter Nellie McKay; author and filmmaker Jamie Bernstein; rockers Blac Rabbit; Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield; the Weeklings of Asbury Park and more.

Dr. Kenneth Womack, professor of English and popular music at Monmouth University and an acclaimed Beatles author, is spearheading the event. The Springsteen Archives, as well as Wonderwall Communications and Salon, are the presenters.

“Asbury Park is the place to be this November as we come together to celebrate ‘Rubber Soul’ in a town that serves as one of the nation’s most vaunted music heritage sites,” said Womack in a statement. “Fans will be treated to live performances, multimedia presentations and expert panels on the album’s enduring legacy.”

Weinberg will be talking Beatles with Santelli, and the drummer will play Beatles song with the Weeklings.

Clemons, nephew of the late Clarence Clemons, will play with his band on Nov. 8, and meet and greet to benefit the Light of Day Foundation, which raises funds and awareness in the fight against Parkinson’s and other diseases.

The Beatles and Paul McCartney have several connections to Asbury Park. In 1963, the Beatles recorded Lenny Welch’s version of “A Taste of Honey.” The late Welch was an Asbury Park native.

McCartney’s in-laws have several connections to the city. Paul’s wife is Nancy Shevell, and the late Harry and Mina Walters of Asbury Park are Shevell’s grandparents. Harry started his Walters Department Stores on Cookman Avenue in the city. There were also stores in Long Branch and Freehold.

Tickets for Everything Fab Four Fest begin at $87 and are available via ef4fest.com.
