Dancing with the Stars Season 34 premiered on Tuesday, bringing the fun on-camera and behind-the-scenes.
Amid this year’s DWTS contestants performing dances like the salsa and the cha-cha onscreen in the television program, there were also some special moments that the camera didn’t catch, such as the loving support the stars’ friends and family were giving them from the audience.
Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck received cheers from fellow Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-stars: Miranda McWhorter, Layla Taylor, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Demi Engemann and Taylor Frankie Paul.
Meanwhile, Hilaria Baldwin had support from her husband Alec Baldwin, and their three children, including 11-year-old daughter Carmen.
A roaring squeal erupted backstage after Hilaria got close to partner Gleb Savchenko’s face near the end of the team’s cha-cha to Jennifer Lopez’s Let’s Get Loud.
When it came to Elaine Hendrix, her Parent Trap co-star Lisa Ann Walter was seen crying in the audience as she watched her perform the cha-cha to Kesha’s song Woman with pro partner Alan Bersten.
Alan was spotted hugging executive producer Deena Katz later in the night.
Additionally, Boy Meets World’s Will Friedle and Rider Strong gave big cheers to their fellow co-star Danielle Fishel, along with her longtime friend, N’Sync star Lance Bass.
Robert Irwin’s cheerleaders were his mom, Terri, sister Bindi, Bindi’s husband, Chandler Powell, and their daughter Grace, who was in the audience.
Meanwhile, backstage, pro Sasha Farber and Season 33 contestant Chandler Kinney all smiled and hung out together.
Also, Season 29 contestant Chrishell Stause was out in the audience.
Although there was no elimination this week, at the end of the show, DWTS hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro announced that two contestants would be going home next week.
