Cardi B is going to be a mom again!
The rapper is pregnant with her fourth child, her first with NFL star boyfriend Stefon Diggs, who is the wide receiver of the New England Patriots.
Cardi revealed the happy news to CBS News, adding that she is actually quite far along, and the baby will arrive before the start of her Little Miss Drama Tour, which kicks off in February.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi told anchor Gayle King in the interview, which was pre-taped but released this morning. The “Outside” rapper added, “I’m excited.”
It’s a busy but happy time for Cardi, whose second studio album, Am I the Drama?, which follows Invasion of Privacy, will be released on Friday.
“I’m happy,” she continued. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful that I’m doing all this work—but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
The musician and the football pro began dating in October 2024, about a month after Cardi filed for divorce from Offset, with whom she shares three kids, Kulture Kiari Cephus, 7, Wave Set Cephus, 4, and 1-year-old Blossom Cephus, who was born a year ago, on September 7, 2024.
“Me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other,” Cardi told King. “We’re like in the same space in our careers. I feel like we’re really great and one of the best at what we do. And me and him think the same way. ‘Yeah, you’re one of the greatest, but what’s next? What are we doing again? We have to do it again, all the time.’ We’re never, like, comfortable. We just have to keep going it and that’s just what we are.”
She added that Diggs makes her feel safe, and not just because of “how big he is” physically, she joked.
“He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong,” Cardi continued, going on to explain that he recently helped her get back to herself after she experienced a panic attack due to her album rollout.
“And he was just like, ‘Girl, you better get it together.’ … I feel like feeling safe, feeling confident, it makes you feel like you can take over the world,” Cardi said.
