Earlier this year we covered Warner Archive‘s Blu-ray collections of classic Looney Tunes cartoons, all lovingly restored and released with pristine transfers. Now, under the guidance of film historian George Feltenstein, Warner Archive has done it again with “The Huckleberry Hound Show,” an 11-disc Blu-ray package that represents one of the label’s most heroic reconstruction and preservation efforts.
Huckleberry Hound and his costars on the Hanna-Barbera series have never really disappeared — their adventures have been airing piecemeal off and on for decades — but their shows haven’t been available in their original form in over 60 years. Until now.
