Well “Johnny Dang,” it seems like Bakersfield can’t get enough of That Mexican OT.
After playing Dignity Health Theater last year, the rapper will head back for a show at the Fox Theater on Nov. 10.
The 26-year-old rapper from Bay City, Texas, (the OT in his name is for “Outta Texas”) is known for his 2023 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Johnny Dang” with Paul Wall, which references Dang, a Vietnamese Houston jeweler who makes custom grills.
The artist, whose real name is Virgil Rene Gazca, embraces his heritage with English-to-Spanish transitions and brings humor to his music.
Joining him for this Bakersfield show, part of the Recess Tour — Part 2, will be Drodi and Mg Lil Bubba.
Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the theater, 2001 H St.
Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday at bakersfieldlive.com, by calling 661-324-1369 or at the box office, open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fans can get early ticket access online with the code “THEATER” starting at 10 a.m. Thursday.
