Beloved ’90s R&B girl group TLC will no longer be performing at The Big E on Friday — but another ’90s hip-hop star will be taking their place.
The TLC show was canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances,” New England’s largest fair announced Wednesday. Instead, Big Boi — one half of the hit duo OutKast — will perform with DJ Meechie at The Big E Arena in West Springfield on Sept. 19.
People who bought tickets to the TLC show will automatically receive a refund within three to five business days, The Big E said. Everyone who attends the fair on Friday will be be granted admission to the Big Boi show for free.

TLC was also slated to perform on the opening day of Boston Calling this year on May 23, but canceled the morning of due to a “medical circumstance.”
