General Hospital star Cameron Mathison is warning fans that Drew is about to get worse on the ABC soap.
It turns out getting shot didn’t have an impact on the despicable character. Drew’s worse than ever on General Hospital, and according to Mathison, we haven’t seen anything yet.
Cameron Matison Teases What Drew Does Next on General Hospital
Speaking with Soaps.com, Mathison opened up about the aftermath of Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) death for Drew. The loss of someone who played a motherly role in his life is understandably very traumatic for the character.
It also fuels Drew’s hatred for Jason (Steve Burton). Drew can’t get over the fact that Monica banished him from the family, while Jason, who Drew repeatedly refers to as “the killer” and who had an affair with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Michael’s (Rory Gibson) partner, is allowed to continue living there.
Drew never got to mend things with Monica before her death. The guilt will eat away at him, which he deals with by making another horrific move.
Mathison didn’t give away any spoilers, but he did set the stage for what’s coming. “It’s so horrible,” the actor tells us with a laugh. “It’s just awful!”
Whatever it is, Drew definitely won’t earn any points with General Hospital fans, many who are already over him and his behvior.
“Drew is the worst kind of scum. His daughter is suffering and he’s there playing the smart guy in front of Danny who just wants to help his sister,” declared a fan on X.
That’s not the only thing Mathison is revealing about what is coming up on the ABC soap.
