SOCASTEE, S.C. (WBTW) — The popular Netflix show ‘Outer Banks’ is set to film on the Socastee swing bridge for the third time this year after 2 previous weather cancellations.
Film crews first came to the area on July 29 to record for the upcoming and final season of the hit show, and drew a large crowd of spectators, but had to cut their work short due to weather.
This happened again on August 14, where filming was cancelled due to weather.
Cast and crew are now scheduled to make their return on Sept. 27. Dick Pond Road and the bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. that day, according to the South Carolina Film Commission.
