Taylor Swift might have to fly solo at Selena Gomez’s wedding, as her beau Travis Kelce may be tied up with his NFL obligations.

Rumors are swirling that 33-year-old singer Selena and her fiancé Benny Blanco, 37, are set to exchange vows later this month, leading to speculation that Taylor, 35, might attend the ceremony alone.

While Selena and Benny have yet to officially announce their wedding details, insiders suggest they’ll say “I do” at a top-secret location in Montecito, California, towards the end of September.

Sources reveal that guests are being kept in the dark about the exact location of the ceremony, with plans to shuttle them from Montecito to the undisclosed venue on the big day.

Back in December 2024, when Selena and Benny shared their engagement news, Taylor jokingly offered to serve as Selena’s flower girl.

If this is true, it would fall just one day before Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, face off against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, reports the Mirror US.

The scheduling conflict might force Travis to skip the wedding, especially given the rumored 11pm curfew for players on game nights.

However, it’s not entirely out of the question for Travis to make an appearance, as Taylor has shown in the past when she jetted from her Eras Tour in Japan to support him at the Super Bowl.

Selena announced her engagement to Benny on Instagram last December with a post captioned, “Forever begins now.” Taylor responded with a playful comment, “Yes I will be the flower girl.”

Benny chimed in with a humorous remark, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.” A slew of other celebrities also extended their congratulations. Jennifer Aniston shared, “HONEY!! Congratulations sweet mama!”

Lily Collins expressed her excitement, “Ahhhhhhhh yes yes yes!! Best news ever. Couldn’t be more happy for you both,” while chef Gordon Ramsay quipped, “Congratulations to you both it must be the cooking.”

Taylor and Selena’s friendship dates back to 2008, when they double-dated with Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas.

In 2017, Selena fondly recalled their early days together, saying, “We actually dated the Jonas Brothers together! It was hysterical.”

She continued, “It was amazing, because [Taylor] was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and the cowboy boots. And I was definitely up-and-coming, and we just clicked.”

Selena and Benny first crossed paths in 2019, but it wasn’t until four years later that they officially became a couple, making their relationship public in December 2023. Selena has previously spoken about her choice to let fans in on her love life.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she revealed, “I guess this is the safest I’ve ever felt in one, and I see a future with this person.”
