In her recent Substack post, Jessie Cave revealed that organizers barred her from a recent Harry Potter fan convention. The reason was her OnlyFans account. She wrote that the event organizers cited the platform as being associated with adult content.
“I found out that I didn’t get booked for a Harry Potter convention recently, as I’m now doing OnlyFans,” Cave wrote in the post. “They explained it was because it’s a ‘family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn,’” she revealed.
“This was baffling to me, as some actors who do conventions (most actors, actually) have done TV and films in which they’ve done sex scenes and nudity,” Cave wrote, pointing out the inconsistency in the industry. “I’m just playing with my hair!” she explained.
“I am not upset about the prospect of no more Harry Potter conventions.” Cave shared. “There’s going to be a new cast now and it’s a different time,” she wrote, referring to the upcoming Harry Potter series.
“Plus, I have done conventions for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia.” She further added. “The money I got from signing photos of my face was the only real money I made. I am very lucky I got to do them,” recounting all the happy experiences.
She concluded by saying, “It’s time to move on and play some new characters.”
Jessie Cave portrayed Lavender Brown in the later films of the Harry Potter movie series, starting with Half-Blood Prince (2009). She was Ronald Weasley’s love interest for a brief period, after which she had very little screen time in subsequent movies.
