COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Jimmy Kimmel Live returns on Tuesday night after Disney/ABC suspended the show, citing comments made by the host after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Disney announced that the show would return on Tuesday. But Sinclair Broadcast Group, which runs dozens of ABC affiliates in the U.S. — including Columbus — said it will not be airing the show.
Sinclair said its ABC affiliates would instead air news in Kimmel’s time slot.

Nexstar Media Group, the parent company of NBC4, also said it will preempt the show on its ABC affiliates.
Will Jimmy Kimmel Live be available to watch in central Ohio?
It’s not as simple as it sounds, and you just might be out of luck.
Disney owns Hulu, which has a subscription tier that offers live television. However, because Hulu’s live TV often uses feeds from the affiliates, those who live in areas with Sinclair-run ABC affiliates would not be able to watch the show live. The same applies to YouTube TV.
Fubo TV is another option to try. It’s unknown if Fubo users in central Ohio will be able to watch Jimmy Kimmel Live, but Fubo offers a 7-day free trial.
Those looking to watch the show in central Ohio may just have to wait until clips are uploaded to the show’s YouTube channel. Full episodes are also generally posted the next day on Hulu and Disney+.
NBC4 has reached out to Disney to see if the show will be offered in an alternate way. This story will be updated if we receive a response.
