Kelly Thiebaud’s (Britt) return to General Hospital has brought an old storyline back to the forefront. In light of that, the actress is reflecting on her former co-star, the late great Tyler Christopher (Nikolas).
General Hospital fans have been vocal about the resurfaced storyline of Britt stealing Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) embryo to use as her own. The story resurfaced when Rocco (Finn Carr) found out the truth that Britt gave birth to him, not Lulu.
Kelly Thiebaud Calls Former General Hospital Co-Star Tyler Christopher ‘Incredible’
Back in 2013, it was discovered that Britt’s baby Ben was really Lulu and Dante’s. At the time, Britt was in a relationship with Nikolas, who is Lulu’s older brother.
Revisiting the storyline has Thiebaud looking back on her time working with Christopher, who died in October 2023. Nikolas finding out what Britt did is one of Thiebaud’s favorite moments in her entire General Hospital career.
Speaking with Soap Opera Digest, the actress recalled how Christopher made it one of her favorite scenes.
“Tyler Christopher was so incredible, just on a regular basis, but in those particular scenes, he was so good. And I’ve watched it back several times and every time, in my mind, it’s just a complete home run in the soap world. He is so good, the emotion is so high, I thought the writing was so great … It’s such a good memory for me,” she expressed.
Thiebaud and Christopher gave powerhouse performances during those scenes back in the day. However, Britt and Nikolas’s romance ended after he found out what she did to Lulu.
It was a bummer, too, because Nikolas and Britt had killer chemistry and understood each other’s dark ways.

Resurfaced Embryo Stealing Storyline Controversy on General Hospital
Over a decade after it was revealed that Britt’s son Ben, with Patrick (Jason Thompson), was really Lulu and Dante’s son, the story is back at the forefront. The timing was part of Thiebaud’s return as Britt.
However, even before Britt supposedly died in 2023, the fact that she stole the embryo and gave birth to Rocco was dropped. Britt had moved on to making other questionable choices well before her death.
It’s one reason that General Hospital fans are over the way she’s acting like she has a right to Rocco after all these years.
“I’m not going to be gaslit into believing this didn’t happen. Britt loved Ben/Rocco unconditionally, but she accepted that he wasn’t her child and still did the right thing by turning her own mother in. So let’s stop with this revisionist nonsense it’s just terrible writing. #GH,” wrote a fan on X, sharing the scene where Britt gives the baby back to Dante and Lulu.
The storyline may be causing some controversy, but it was nice to have Thibaud reflect on her time working with Christopher.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
