‘DWTS’ Alum Lindsay Arnold Weighs In on Scott Hoying’s Week 2 Dance

Dancing With the Stars alum Lindsay Arnold weighed in on her sister Rylee Arnold‘s dance partner Scott Hoying‘s “improvement” during week 2 of the competition show.

On Tuesday, September 23, Lindsay, 31, took to her an Instagram Story to share a video of her daughters Sage, 4, and June, 2, copying the dance moves that Rylee, 20, and Hoying, 34, did during the second week of season 34.

“Nothing is cuter than watching these girlies copying their auntie @ryleearnold also Sage isn’t wrong this was a hard dance!!!!” Lindsay, who shares her daughters with husband Samuel Lightner Cusick, wrote alongside the clip. “@scotthoying you should be sooo proud of yourself! Content, performance, technique!!!! So much improvement.”

During week 2 of the latest season, Rylee and Hoying performed the cha-cha dance to “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” by Eiffel 65. They earned an 18 out of 30 score, and they guaranteed their safety by moving on to week 3.

Rylee joined DWTS as a pro in 2023, just one year after Lindsay announced her exit from the series in 2022 after first joining as a pro in 2013.

While the sisters never competed on the show together, Rylee has admitted to going to Lindsay for advice as she competes to win the Mirrorball Trophy.

“The best piece of advice that I’ve ever received from Lindsay, and honestly, the best piece of advice I’ve ever been given, is to always just remain true to yourself,” she told People in an interview published on September 3. “Always just be yourself, authentically you, because if people don’t like you for you, then you’re not where you need to be.”

Rylee continued, “Just be yourself and that’s going to be where you’re going to be the happiest version of yourself, so always just emulate that and be that.”

“It got me through everything,” she added of her sister’s advice. “I love her.”
