According to a body language expert, Prince Harry appeared “nostalgic and sadder” when he reminisced about his estranged brother, Prince William, on television.
Last weekend, the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex featured in ABC’s new documentary “The Happiest Story On Earth: 70 Years Of Disneyland” alongside his spouse, Meghan Markle, aged 44.
From their residence in Montecito, the couple, who recently enjoyed a family trip to Disneyland with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, shared their fondness for the amusement park, reflecting on their experiences both as children and now as adults.
Prince Harry, who stepped back from Royal duties in 2020, offered a glimpse into his childhood visit to the park with his late mother, Princess Diana, and his brother, Prince William, with whom he is reportedly no longer in communication.
Reminiscing about the joyful times, the prince recounted, “I remember losing it as a kid with all the characters. Like, losing it, like ‘oh this is amazing’. With my mum and my brother. I remember it very well.”
“When he talks about ‘losing it’ he looks upward too, mimicking the small child he was looking up at all the magical rides. His eyes are wide with wonder and he even gasps a few times.”
She added: “But when he tells the interviewer he ‘went there with my mum and my brother’, his eyes come down to perform an eye-dart suggesting he is reflecting on those two people, and his facial expression takes on a sadder look.”
Harry and Meghan recently took their children to Disneyland to celebrate Princess Lilibet’s fourth birthday.
The family reportedly spent several days at the theme park, with Meghan sharing some personal photos on her Instagram.
These posts included images and clips of the family interacting with Disney princesses and having fun on various rides.
