After a nearly five-year absence, R&B superstar Chris Brown is returning to San Antonio. The musician will bring his Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour to the Alamodome on Saturday, September 27.

Fans can expect to hear newer singles like “Holy Blindfold” and “Under The Influence,” as well as familiar favorites from the artist’s self-titled debut album, released in 2006. The tour, which celebrates 20 years of Brown making music, also features celebrity guests Jhene Aiko and Bryson Tiller. It will mark one of the last stops of the 51-date run, and is expected to bring in over 50,000 fans.

The show falls during a busy time in San Antonio, as both the Rey Feo Superhero River Parade and Water Lantern Festival take place on the same day. In anticipation of the crowds and increased traffic, city organizers are sharing tips for attendees to note before heading out the door.

Plan ahead, arrive early for the Chris Brown concert at the Alamodome

Supporters have been waiting a long time to see Brown again, as the last time he performed in San Antonio was in 2019 for his Indigoat Tour. The event completely sold out when tickets launched last April, though a few resale options are available on Ticketmaster.

The concert begins at 7:00 p.m., leaving little room for lateness on the day of. The venue has not announced when the doors will open, but typically, it happens around 5:30 p.m.

Fans should arrive well before the show’s start time, especially because parking and check-in may be a hassle. The Alamodome enforces a clear bag policy, and each will be searched before entry. Diaper bags and medically necessary bags do not have to be clear, but will still be inspected.

Parking options near the Alamodome for Chris Brown concert

Parking will be available in lots B and C on Cherry Street and is first-come, first-served. Tailgating is not allowed, according to the venue. For past concerts at the Alamodome in 2025, spots have cost $60 each. Patrons should note that cash will not be accepted, and in-and-out parking is prohibited.

Lot A, which is located off the northbound IH-37 Access Road, between César E. Chávez Boulevard and Montana Street, is for ADA parking and ADA drop-offs and pick-ups only. For more information on ADA services, the day of the show, visit the Alamodome’s website.

Folks can also skip the traffic headaches by reserving nearby off-site parking through ParkWhiz by Flash ahead of time. The company controls 25 lots within a five-mile radius of the Alamodome, and allows guests to prepay for a space online through the “Know Before You Go” section of the venue’s website. Fans can also book their ParkWhiz space through the Ticketmaster site at checkout. Prices vary depending on proximity to the venue.

As always, there will also be available spots at a few downtown parking lots and city garages. For locations, prices, and information, visit the City of San Antonio’s website.

Free and low-cost transportation options for Chris Brown’s Alamodome show

Fans can also get to the show by boarding VIA Metropolitan Transit’s Park & Ride, which will be available from VIA’s Crossroads (151 Crossroads Blvd., 78201) and Brooks Transit Center (7903 S. New Braunfels Ave., 78235). It is completely free to park at these Park & Ride locations.

The service will be offered beginning at 5:00 p.m. and costs $1.30 each way, with discounts available for students, seniors, and service members. Customers can take the VIA to the venue until the concert starts at 7:00 p.m. Return services to each of the locations will run until one hour after the show ends.

Passes are available on the company’s website, the goMobile+ app, and in person at the Park & Ride location. Both cash and credit cards are accepted at the Park & Ride location. Riders can also pay at any fare box using VIA passes, all mobile wallets (Apple, Google, and Samsung), and contactless debit and credit cards.

Another option available to visitors is ride share. Folks can access the dedicated ride-share drop-off and pick-up location in Lot D at 500 Tower of Americas Way. It’s based on the west side of Interstate Highway 37/Highway 281, between the Tower and the Institute of Texan Cultures.

A walkway connects this drop-off point to the security checkpoint on the North Plaza of the Alamodome, Access Control Point (ACP A), the venue’s website states.

Where to find phone charging stations at San Antonio’s Alamodome

Few things hurt more than missing capturing your favorite song on camera. Luckily, the Alamodome will display several charging stations around the venue. Some will be located on the Plaza Level at sections 102 and 124, and others will be on the Club Level at sections 210 and 234, the company’s website states. All will be based near the floor’s Information Desks.

Folks can also place a mobile food order instead of stepping out for a concessions run. QR codes will be available at the Alamodome, though their specific locations have not been released yet.

Brown is a two-time Grammy Award winner with over 20 nominations. Hailing from Tappahannock, Washington, his debut album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 while its lead single, “Run It!” topped the chart’s Hot 100 as a whole. Aiko and Tiller have joined him on songs like “Drunk Texting,” “Tryna Smoke,” and “Wait On It.”
