The Cure is booked and busy with exciting plans for 2026.
The iconic rock band just dropped a major announcement, hinting at more shows for the year ahead.
In an Instagram post, the “Boys Don’t Cry” hitmaker revealed they will be joining the upcoming festival in Spain.
What made the announcement thrilling was that the band will be among the headliners for the annual show.
“THE CURE WILL HEADLINE @primavera_sound BARCELONA IN 2026. TICKETS ON GENERAL SALE ON TUESDAY 30TH AT 11 CEST AT PRIMAVERASOUND.COM & VIA LINK IN BIO,” the post reads.
Following the announcement, fans filled the comment section, looking forward to the legendary English rock band’s comeback performance.
“I’m crying!!!! Can’t wait for this,” one wrote.
“Great to have you back live,” a second user mentioned.
“See you next year!!! Countdown BEGINS NOW!!!” a commenter noted.

A follower also reminisced about The Cure taking the stage at the 2023 festival in Brazil.

Meanwhile, following the buzz around their upcoming appearance in Spain, fans are urging the group to embark on a global tour instead of just festival stops.

Guitarist Porl Thompson, bass player Simon Gallup, musician, songwriter and lead singer Robert Smith, drummer Boris Williams and keyboard player Laurence ‘Lol’ Tolhurst, all members of the English rock band The Cure.
As mentioned, the Primavera Sound will be among their scheduled gigs in 2026.
The festival will take place from June 4 to 6, 2026, at Parc del Fòrum, with The Cure headlining alongside pop star Doja Cat, The xx and English band Gorillaz.
Besides them, fans will also get to see stunning performances from Addison Rae, “Don’t Hate Me” hitmaker Lola Young, Skrillex, My Bloody Valentine, Mac DeMarco, PinkPantheress, Massive Attack, world-renowned South Korean DJ Peggy Gou and more.
As for the rock band’s upcoming shows for 2026, they will also join the Nova Rock Festival in Austria from June 11 to 14, followed by Rock en Seine Festival in Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, Paris, from Aug. 26 to 30 as the show’s headliners.
