On stage, the Office’s Jenna Fischer takes the stage in the new play “Ashland Avenue,” about a daughter trying to manage the last piece of her father’s struggling empire. Catch it through Oct. 12 at the Goodman Theater.
At the Drury Lane Theater in Oakbrook Terrace, relive the classic of suspense, “Dial M for Murder.” Catch it through Oct. 26.
For laughs, Louis C.K. performs at the Chicago Theater through Saturday.

Dean Richards will host the Annual AIDS Run and Walk from just outside Soldier Field. Opening ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The 5K and 10K Run/Walk begins at 10:30 a.m.
On Saturday evening, Dean will speak with actor Cary Elwes, following a screening of his movie, “The Princess Bride” at the Auditorium Theater.
Outdoors, there’s the Long Grove Apple Fest all weekend long.
The 24th annual Oktoberfest in Lakeview at Wellington and Lincoln through Sunday.
