Mötley Crüe have announced a super deluxe 40th anniversary box set of their 1985 album, Theatre of Pain, set to arrive November 14th via BMG. The limited-edition collection includes a never-before-released live concert and rare demo recordings, as well as other goodies.
Theatre of Pain has been certified four-times platinum in the United States on the strength of singles “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” (a cover of a Brownsville Station song) and the ballad “Home Sweet Home.”
In addition to a remastered version of the original album, the $150 super deluxe box set adds a 1985 Long Beach live concert that was never previously released, an album of rare demo recordings, and a 76-page hard-cover book featuring a number of never-before-published photos from the “Theatre of Pain Tour.”
Fans can also pick up various vinyl and CD versions of the 40th anniversary reissue, with exclusive variants at Amazon, Walmart, and Urban Outfitters, with pre-orders available here and here.
Mötley Crüe are in the midst of a residency at Las Vegas’ Dolby Live at Park MGM, with a few more shows to go. Tickets to the remaining dates are available here.
