After three decades, 80s pop superstar Lisa Lisa has made a return to the music video scene, dropping a new visual for a Latin-infused version of her iconic hit, “All Cried Out.” The new song, titled “No Lloraré Mas (No More Crying),” sees the Nuyorican singer embracing her roots, transforming the tear-jerker ballad into a rhythmic experience.
The news broke directly from the star herself (born Lisa Velez), who excitedly took to social media to share the landmark moment with her fans. “After 30 years I’m back with a new Music Video yall. This time taking it to my Latin roots,” she captioned a post on Instagram, adding a shout-out: “Thank you to my beautiful team for bringing the vision to life.”
For millions of fans, Lisa Lisa is the voice of a generation, pioneering freestyle and R&B with her group, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, alongside instrumentalists Mike Hughes and Alex “Spanador” Moseley and the production team Full Force. Their self-titled debut album in 1985 produced classics like the aforementioned platinum-selling crossover smash “All Cried Out” and “I Wonder If I Take You Home.” The group continued their domination with chart-toppers like “Head to Toe” and “Lost In Emotion” from their second album, Spanish Fly (1987).
Since the group disbanded in the early 90s, the star has continued her career with solo albums like LL 77 (1994) and Life ‘n Love (2009). It’s not just the music drawing attention: Lisa Lisa’s life story was recently brought to the screen in the Lifetime biopic, Can You Feel The Beat: The Lisa Lisa Story (2025), starring the artist herself as her own mother.
Lisa Lisa remains a fixture on the touring circuit, entertaining audiences across the country with her hits. Upcoming tour stops include Rio Rancho, NM, Cancun, Mexico, and Oceanside, CA.
