Jennifer Aniston was surprised to learn what her The Morning Show co-stars thought of her when she revealed a surprising achievement she had in the past.
As Apple TV+ recently returned for its fourth season, the cast members showcased their genuine connection even on set as the two lead stars, together with Mark Duplass and Billy Crudup, joined Vanity Fair’s question-and-answer segment.
The video featured the Friends star surprising her co-stars with the impressive record she once held.
“What Guinness World Record do I have?” she asked, prompting the trio to respond with amused disbelief and go speechless.
After letting out a “Whoaa!” and clearly impressed by her fellow A-lister’s achievement, she eagerly tried to guess the answer.
“Ok, I’m gonna say something,” she said, adding, “I know, I think I have a guess.”
Aniston showed her answer on a board where she wrote “IG followers.”
The Legally Blonde star proceeded to her answer, noting, “Ok, I have a guess. Highest paid TV actress of all time.”
The statement drew a subtle reaction from the 56-year-old actress, who replied, “No, but wouldn’t that be nice?” causing her co-stars to laugh.
The second guess went to Crudup, who said, “Most covers of a magazine,” but unfortunately, he didn’t get it right.
Duplass, on the other hand, circled back to the highest-paid claim and teased the actress, saying, “You know, Reese, what you should say is… When she said that she wasn’t the highest-paid TV actress, you go, ‘That’s because it’s me,’” to which she responded, “Not true either.”
The Morning Show star almost hit the answer, but instead guessed, “most rescue dog post on Instagram ever.”
After Aniston revealed the answer, Witherspoon chimed in and recalled how “she crashed Instagram” at the time.
Duplass echoed the sentiment, describing the moment as “insane” while noting how the Murder Mystery star gained 40 million followers just a day after creating her personal account.
“It was crazy,” Aniston replied, explaining what she initially felt before joining the platform. “I thought I’d have none. And I have a framed plaque.”
In 2019, she set a Guinness World Record by reaching 1 million followers just five hours and sixteen minutes after making her Instagram debut — faster than anyone at the time.
The first post that she shared was a photo of her Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and the late Matthew Perry with a caption that read, “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM.”
As for the highest-paid actress claim, Aniston is indeed among the record holders with Kudrow and Cox.
According to Guinness World Records, the trio held the title of Highest Paid TV Actress per Episode, reportedly making around $1 million each for the show’s final series, which concluded in May 2004.
