On Sunday, September 28, Taylor Swift was not seen at Travis Kelce’s game in Kansas City, where the NFL star was set to play against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium with the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Saturday night, Swift attended the wedding of her bestie Selena Gomez to music producer Benny Blanco in Montecito, California. Kelce could not make the celebrations because of his work obligations and a mandatory NFL curfew the night before games. Swift was photographed when she arrived at the West Coast venue, disguised by an array of black umbrellas. The guest list also included Martin Short, Steve Martin, Paris Hilton, and Paul Rudd.
Early on Sunday, the Daily Mail reported that Swift had already hopped on a plane for Kansas City. However, it may be that Swift was headed elsewhere, as her newest album, The Life of a Showgirl, drops on October 3. She was also likely partying with her close friend the night before and may simply need some rest and relaxation ahead of her album debut.
She was last spotted at a Chiefs game on September 14, though she made every effort to hide from the cameras. She initially wasn’t seen at Kelce’s home game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but a source confirmed her attendance to E!. Footage of a mystery someone entering Arrowhead Stadium behind a movable barrier was circulated on social media, as well as glimpses of Andrea Swift, and brother, Austin.
In June, a source told Us Weekly about the couple’s perspective on public appearances, saying, “They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention.”
That same month, another source told People that the Eras tour star still wants to attend as many games as possible, saying, “Taylor is really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season. Not just because she loves supporting Travis, but because for the first full season since they started dating, she’s not juggling a packed tour schedule. This fall will be completely different. It’s the first season where she’s not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.”
“Taylor plans to be at as many of his games as possible,” the insider added. “They’ve both had such demanding schedules for so long, so having this stretch of time where things aren’t quite as chaotic feels like a welcome change.”
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on August 26, and have held back on public appearances since.
