Luke Combs is giving fans an early taste of his next chapter with the release of a new three-song EP, ‘The Prequel,’ arriving this Friday, October 3 via Sony Music Nashville. Produced by Combs alongside Chip Matthews, the project includes the highly anticipated ‘My Kinda Saturday Night’ which has already stirred excitement online, as well as ’15 Minutes’ and ‘Days Like These.’

Sharing the news, Combs said, “Still working on my new album that’ll be out early next year, but 3 songs from it are ready now and I couldn’t wait to get y’all some new music, so I’m releasing them this Friday, October 3 as ‘The Prequel.’ Songs will be ‘Days Like These,’ ‘15 Minutes’ and ‘My Kinda Saturday Night,’ which next year’s tour will be named after. I’ll have more news on that very soon.”

The new EP caps another record-setting year for the global superstar. Combs became the first country artist to headline both Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, with Austin City Limits Music Festival and Country Calling still ahead. Earlier this summer, he released his latest single ‘Back in the Saddle,’ now climbing the charts at #8 on Billboard Country Airplay. Critics have praised it as a classic Luke Combs anthem, with Billboard declaring it feels like a “multi-award winner and mainstay chart-topper.”

Combs’ accolades continue to soar. He recently notched his 19th consecutive #1 single with ‘Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma,’ extending his record for the most consecutive chart-toppers to start a career. He’s the first country artist to score two songs with over a billion Spotify streams and the first with four singles certified RIAA Diamond. His latest full-length, Fathers & Sons, was hailed by NPR as evidence that Combs has “become a global pop star,” thanks to its heartfelt reflections on parenthood.

In addition to his solo success, Combs has collaborated with Post Malone, Bailey Zimmerman, Jon Bellion, and Alex Warren, and delivered unforgettable performances including his Grammy duet of ‘Fast Car’ with Tracy Chapman. A Grand Ole Opry member and multi-award winner, Combs recently co-headlined the Concert for Carolina benefit alongside Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor, raising over $24.5 million for Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

With ‘The Prequel’ arriving this Friday, Combs is once again proving his ability to surprise and excite fans while continuing to shape the future of country music.
