Actor Michael Rapaport says it has been “surprising”, “disappointing,” and “hurtful” to see Hollywood celebrities stay silent about antisemitism.
Mr Rapaport says for artists to “excuse” and “rationalise” hostages being held in Gaza is “very, very disappointing”.
“I think a lot of artists have been silent because number one, they’re uninformed, number two, they’re going with the trend and the popular crowd, and number three, they have disdain and disregard and disrespect for Jews in Israel,” Mr Rapaport told Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus.
“Artists traditionally … have always spoken out against atrocities, and it’s one thing to say, ‘free Gaza’, cool, but to not even that to this day there are hostages being held.”
