Jennifer Garner is the kind of gal we’d like to hang out with.
The actress, 53, who rose to stardom on the ABC series Alias and solidified her place in Hollywood with iconic roles in films like 13 Going on 30 and Juno, is having the time of her life on the picturesque Massachusetts island of Nantucket these days. Currently on the island filming the adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand‘s novel The Five-Star Weekend, Garner headed to the Gaslight on Tuesday evening in Downtown Nantucket with her costars Chloë Sevigny, Regina Hall, Gemma Chan, and D’Arcy Carden for a little karaoke. They were joined by local Nantucket Ghost Walk guide Bill Jamieson onstage as they performed a rousing rendition of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” according to the Nantucket Current.
Joe Minella, who runs the Gaslight’s karaoke night, told the Current how Garner and her squad of lovely costars came to take the stage on Tuesday night.
“Bill had no idea who he was singing with, he just thought it was some ladies that wanted to sing with him,” Minella told the publication. “What happened was Bill had signed up to sing Dancing Queen, which he does often. And then another lady came up and wanted to sign up to sing Dancing Queen, and she was like ‘we wanna go quickly, and just so you know, I’m with Jennifer Garner.’ And I told her that they could sing Dancing Queen if they wanted to, but Bill had already signed up for it, so they had to sing it with him. So then they all sang it together.”

Filming of The Five-Star Weekend started on Nantucket about a month ago. Since then, Garner has spent her off-hours popping by several notable local spots, like chatting up the team at Nantucket Crisps and weaving up something special at Nantucket Looms.
“Everyone on Nantucket has been so welcoming, but @nantucketlooms is where I work now. ♥️🧶♥️,” Garner wrote last week, sharing a sweet video. “I’ve been Farmer Jen and now I’m Weaver Jen,” she joked, playing on her role as co-founder of Once Upon a Farm, a children’s nutrition brand.
