GapStudio Collection 03 Fall/Winter 2025 Starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple Martin

GapStudio have just dropped Collection 03, and what I love about this one is how it marries the romantic futurism of the 1960s with the stripped-back minimalism that defined downtown New York in the ’90s. The result is a capsule of 38 pieces that feel elevated yet wearable—clothes designed not just to be worn, but lived in, remembered, and reimagined.

The campaign stars Gwyneth Paltrow and her daughter Apple Martin, which makes the “shared closet” idea hit differently. We’ve all borrowed from a parent’s wardrobe—or had ours raided—and this casting taps perfectly into that timeless ritual. It’s intimate, nostalgic, and a reminder that fashion can be as much about inheritance as it is about individuality.

Design-wise, the collection plays with contrasts. Sculptural denim sits alongside textured tweed effects, while glossy patent shine offsets crisp shirting and fluid silks. Oversized hardware adds a little boldness, and the tailoring frames the body perfectly.

As Zac Posen, Gap Inc.’s EVP and Creative Director, put it: “We drew from the optimism of the ’60s and the cultural energy of downtown New York in the ’90s, a moment when modernism and nostalgia collided to create a new style language.” And you can see that in the pieces—modern staples with a whisper of history.
