Prince William is publicly addressing his younger brother Prince Harry amid their ongoing feud.
The 43-year-old Prince of Wales and the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex have been estranged for years and their feud exploded into the public eye when Harry and wife Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal duties in 2020. Their feud got even worse when Harry and Meghan, 44, criticized the royal family in their interview with Oprah Winfrey, in their Netflix docu-series, and in Harry‘s memoir Spare.
While appearing on the new episode of Eugene Levy‘s Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler, William shared a very rare comment about Harry while reflecting on their childhood.
Keep reading to find out more…During the episode, Eugene, 78, asked William how he feels about his eldest son Prince George, 12, one day becoming King.
“It’s an interesting question, and it’s a big question, that one,” William started. “Because there’s lots of things to think about with that. Obviously, I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do, a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better.”
“That is caveated with, I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past, that Harry and I had to grow up with,” he continued, “and I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”
William added, “I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good. And I embrace that and I enjoy that change – I don’t fear it. That’s the bit that excites me, is the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical change, but changes that I think that need to happen.”
Also during his appearance on The Reluctant Traveler, Prince William admitted that 2024 “was the hardest year I’ve ever had.”
