The San Jose Sharks have announced that they will have a new goal song starting on opening night of the 2025-26 NHL Season.
“Get Ready For This” by 2 Unlimited has been used since 2016, except for custom goal songs during the 2019-20 season and the 2021 season. But the Sharks have worked with the artist known as BVRNOUT to help create the new song.
BVRNOUT has previously worked with the San Jose Sharks. He was part of the collaboration of a custom Ice Projection song in 2022 and the 2024 Holiday Inflatables rap instrumental.
The Sharks will have complete ownership of the new song. That will allow them to use this song in other areas of media, away from just scoring goals.
This change is just one part of the long list of upgrades the Sharks are bringing to the SAP Center.
The Sharks players were given input on multiple songs to get their preferences. Now it is up to Sharks 365 season ticket members to vote on which one they like the most. Whoever scores the first goal of the season against the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct. 9 will be the one to show Sharks fans which song was picked.
