The Reading Royals have announced that they’ve signed forward Brandon Saigeon for the 2025-26 season. Saigeon, 27, began last season with the Indy Fuel where he put up three goals and five assists for eight points in 14 games before being traded to the Savannah Ghost Pirates. In 37 games with the Ghost Pirates, he put up two goals and eight assists for 10 points. Saiegon should be a nice veteran piece for the Royals to fit in on the top six to start to season. With the signing of Saiegon, the Royals have 13 forwards and 21 players signed for the 2025-26 season.
The Former fifth round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in 2018 is entering his sixth season in the ECHL. He’s spent time with the Utah Grizzlies, Wheeling Nailers, Kalamazoo Wings, Wichita Thunder, Indy Fuel, and Savannah Ghost Pirates. In 249 ECHL games, he’s put up 31 goals and 72 assists for 103 points.

He is a versatile player who will have the opportunity to prove himself in different situations. We look forward to watching him come in and compete.”

OHL Career
Prior to going pro, the Grimsby, Ontario, native spent five seasons in the OHL. He began his OHL career with the Belleville Bulls during the 2014-15 season where he put up eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points in 62 games, and would play in four games during the 2015 OHL Playoffs. Saiegon would spent the following three season with the Hamilton Bulldogs, where he put up 85 goals and 115 assists for 200 points in 218 games. He would add 18 goals and eight assists for 26 points in 28 playoff games with the Bulldogs. Saiegon finished his OHL career with the Oshawa Generals where he had 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points. He would add six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 15 playoff games with the Generals.
