NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Swifties gathered early Friday morning as the Starbucks on 21st Avenue in Nashville transformed into a giant glittery vinyl record to celebrate the latest album from superstar Taylor Swift.
Swift’s 12th record, “The Life of a Showgirl,” was unleashed into the world Friday, Oct. 3. Listening parties were held across globe after the album dropped at midnight.

Starbucks began a drink offer campaign once the album dropped. Rewards members can claim a free drink for staying up late for the new music.
Fans have lined up as crews began to rebrand the coffee shop as “Starbies,” complete with a selfie station, a lounge area, teal and green lighting (Showgirl’s signature colors) and a massive, orange glitter vinyl.

The Belcourt is also holding a listening party for the album the whole weekend, as the theatre is one of select theaters nationwide airing The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.
The event will see the premiere of the official music video for one of the album’s tracks, “The Fate of Ophelia,” as well as lyric videos and Taylor’s reflections on songs from the brand new album. Tickets for the weekend’s showings are available here.
“The Life of a Showgirl” is streaming on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
Spotify announced Monday that Swift’s album surpassed five million pre-saves on their platform to become the most pre-saved album in its history. The previous title holder? Her 2024 album “The Tortured Poets Department.”
