Taylor Swift has generated overwhelming anticipation for her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which comes out on October 3. Fans reportedly sold out two limited-edition vinyl releases in less than an hour, sparking predictions that Swift could surpass her previous vinyl record of 859,000 copies.

Taylor Swift could rewrite history with Showgirl’s success, claims source

If “The Life of a Showgirl” debuts at No. 1 as is widely expected, Taylor Swift will reportedly become the first solo artist to achieve fifteen No. 1 albums, surpassing both Jay-Z and Drake. Analysts have indicated she could also end up in a tie with The Beatles. The British rock band has held a historic record of seven consecutive years with a chart-topping album. As per Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, insiders suggested, “if anyone can beat Taylor, it’s Taylor.”

Chart watchers are closely monitoring the album’s performance, expecting that multiple records could be broken simultaneously. Streaming experts predict Swift is about to turn heads once more. Sources stated her previous album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” earned nearly 900 million streams in its first week. With only twelve tightly crafted pop tracks, insiders suggest this might be her biggest album.

Swift collaborated with Swedish production duo Max Martin and Shellback on her new album. They previously collaborated on much of “Red” (2012), “1989” (2014), and “Reputation” (2017).

A source has noted that “if one single goes No. 1, she’ll bury Drake in the 2020s race. Taylor isn’t competing with the industry anymore — she’s competing with herself.”

Swift announced ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ nearly two months ago on “New Heights.” The podcast is hosted by her now-fiancé, Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce. After ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ in 2024, she wrapped up her Eras Tour, which reportedly grossed over $2 billion in ticket sales.
