Scarlett Johansson Acknowledges Being Highest-Grossing Actor In World is “Temporary”

Scarlett Johansson has shared her thoughts on becoming the highest-grossing actor in the world. Johansson officially earned that title, based on global ticket sales, in July 2025, following the release of her latest movie, Jurassic World Rebirth. She is the first movie star in history to have a career box office total that exceeds $15 billion.

Access Hollywood recently asked Johansson how she felt about that honor during an interview for Johansson’s directorial debut, Eleanor the Great.

“Um, not really sure. Yeah, I’m sure it’s temporary. I try to remember it’s all temporary. I feel very fortunate to work on projects that I have been able to challenge myself, where there’s new things to learn.
